Whistleblowing System

A whistleblowing system is available to collect any reports of acts that violate the Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct.

In the course of its activities, Limagrain interacts with numerous stakeholders in many different countries and is committed to conducting its activities in compliance with the law, as well as in accordance with its own ethical principles as formalised in its Code of Conduct. Every person—employee, service provider, partner—has the option to report any situation that might breach these principles. To facilitate this, Limagrain has set up a whistleblowing system that ensures reports and alerts are handled in complete confidentiality (including the identity of the whistleblower and any named individuals, description of the facts, personal data, etc.), with the following main features:

What situations related to Limagrain’s activities can be reported?

  • Any situation or conduct contrary to the Limagrain Code of Conduct;
  • Any situation that may constitute a crime or offence, a violation or attempted concealment of a violation of law or regulation, or a threat to or harm against the public interest.

Who can raise an alert?

The person making the report is referred to as the “whistleblower”. They must be a natural person, act in good faith, and must not seek any financial benefit from the alert. This may include an employee, director, intern, shareholder, former employee, candidate, or an external or occasional associate of the Group (such as a temporary worker, service provider, subcontractor, supplier, client), or any other third party.

What protection does the whistleblower receive?

The whistleblower benefits from the protections provided by regulations. Limagrain undertakes not to sanction, dismiss, or discriminate against any employee as a result of a good faith report concerning matters covered by the whistleblowing system. However, misuse of the system may expose its author to disciplinary action or legal proceedings.
